Classic Christmas Tunes 1 - Rockfield Chorale – “Jingle Jangle”

What is my favorite Christmas song? It seems that every year, shortly past Thanksgiving, I am asked this pointed question. After all, there are so many absolutely fantastic ones (some of whom you will come to see and hear over the next few weeks in future posts). However, if I was forced to choose, I would have to say that it is "Jingle Jangle" by The Rockfield Chorale. Who, on earth, are the Rockfield Chorale one might rightly ask. I have it on HIGH authority that it is simply the Ward brothers rumored to be accompanied by guitar superhero Dave Edmunds possibly even aided and abetted by Nick Lowe. Clues do abound. After all, the Ward brothers are the owners of the legendary Rockfield Studios in Monmouth, Wales UK. Dave Edmunds was certainly no stranger to these studios having recorded several CDs there, not to mention his production (at that famed studio) of a now seminal alternative classic "Shake Some Action" by the legendary Flamin' Groovies! Do you miss it already?
